Look up from your life

I love this line. It’s taken from one of my favourite James Taylor songs. Every now and again when I find my world and my focus is getting smaller, I look up and out at the world around me. It reminds me to look at the bigger picture, to pause and to breathe. Looking up towards something vast, natural and beautiful reminds me to come back to the present. It helps me to notice things. The world is alive and big and I am part of a magical tapestry of life where beauty is all around me if I choose to look!

I think at times that commitments, to do lists and stress can easily consume us and make our worlds insular and seem small. So every now and again, I look up from my life to take in the view and I am reminded it’s all ok.
